Doa Aly is an Egyptian artist, choreographer, and writer whose work explores the threshold between form, embodiment, and metaphysical structure.
Her work unfolds as a series of closed systems—drawing, choreography, performance, and film—each generating the next through a process of inward collapse. Her practice channels a cinematic and visceral intelligence: forms that emerge through pressure, precision, and repetition. Across media, her work operates through the logic of implosion, where gesture gives rise to a choreography of emergence, and the visible world is restructured from within.
Doa Aly was born in Cairo, and earned her BFA in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2001.
